The benefit of using this framework in our prayer life is that we allow the scriptures to shape our thoughts and we pray back to God the words He's given us. Here's how to use it:

1. Read the text. In this case, Psalm 1. Take note of what it says about God. The prayer guide gives you some praiseworthy attributes of God to start with.

2. Start your prayer time revering God. Worship Him around the ideas you've uncovered in the text.

3. The things we see about God are usually areas where we lack trust in Him or areas where we could grow like Him. Take time to confess, to submit Yourself again to Him.

4. We move into requests based on the scripture that we've read. Ask God to help You live in accordance with His Word, trusting Him and allowing Him to teach you.

5. Finally, we end our prayer time with readying ourselves to re-enter the world from this virtual temple that we've been worshipping in. Where has God's Word met you in a timely and specific way? Ask God to ready you to face whatever battle you're facing.

Tips: Be specific. Get honest. God's grace is deep and it is wide.
